Provided by Vancouver Coastal Health
The Community Aphasia Group is for people with aphasia to build confidence and practice communication strategies in a friendly, supported setting. Each session has focused tasks to help participants work on individual goals and improve their communication skills.
The program is for people who have had a stroke or brain injury and are diagnosed with aphasia. Participants with aphasia may have difficulties with expression (speaking, writing) or comprehension (understanding, reading).
