The Psychology Clinic seeks to provide intensive applied training experiences for graduate students, as well as effective, ethical, and economic psychological services for the community. All our services are confidential and meet the ethical guidelines established by the College of Psychologists of British Columbia. The Psychology Clinic provides a range of services for the following populations:
- Children (age 6 +)
- Youth
- Adults
- Older Adults
- Couples
- Families
The clinic provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families with the goal of assisting individuals to gain greater insight into their problems, cope more effectively with personal stresses and interpersonal conflicts, and achieve behavioural goals. We strive to provide empirically-supported interventions whenever possible. Typically, therapy services are offered from 8-12 weekly sessions that are 50 minutes in duration. Most psychotherapy services are offered in the form of individual therapy, however, group psychotherapy may be offered depending on the frequency of referrals for particular problems and availability of supervisors. Common concerns we see in the clinic include anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, OCD, perfectionism, and many more.
Cost:$60/session. For clients unable to pay the standard fee, our services can be provided on a sliding scale based on gross family income and number of dependants, and are confirmed when booking the intake session.
How to Access Services: Individuals may be referred by a physician or health care professional or they may self-refer by calling 250-721-7538.
